Perpetrator threw acid on victims
A stalker reportedly attacked and injured a 35-year-old woman and her five-year-old son by hurling acid on them in New Usmanpur area late on Tuesday night.

A Police officer said that the victim identified as Imrana was returning to her home along with her son Arman when she was attacked by the accused, Najir.
Imrana and Arman suffered severe burn injuries while the accused fled from the spot. A passerby called the police after which both were rushed to GTB hospital. Imrana and Arman are undergoing treatment. Doctors reportedly told the police that they have suffered 40 per cent burn injuries and their condition is critical.
"The victims' family has alleged that Najir had been stalking Imrana while she was spurning his advances. He had threatened Imrana of dire consequences. We are looking into their allegations and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused," stated a senior police officer.
