A single mother in Chandigarh was Wednesday battling serious burn injuries after unidentified men threw acid on her for allegedly having an affair with her employer, police said.

Nisha, 32, who is divorced and lives with her father, was attacked Tuesday night while she was going to the market on her scooter.
