Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has extended his support to senior Congress leader and Mumbai North West candidate Gurudas Kamat for his various "qualities" as a politician and for his "magnanimity".

Salman has in a recorded message appealed to voters to support Kamat because "good work can be done only by a good person. What's a good person?..One who takes a stand on things, which Kamat takes...then you raise your voice for it, which also Kamat does, and to forgive who may have wronged you, which is rarely seen in politics and the one who works for the people, not for himself, which he does in plenty".
