The latest GST 2.0 reforms came into effect on September 22, coinciding with Navratri’s first day. While PM Modi highlighted swadeshi push and economic growth, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attacked BJP, questioning eight years of GST collections and mocking promises on relief measures.

The latest GST reforms are set to come into action from September 22. With GWT2.0 reforms to be implemented from today, the Samajwadi Party president, Akhilesh Yadav, has taken a swipe at the BJP government. The Lok Sabha MP, while slamming the BJP over the news of GST reforms, said, “Where have the GST collections over the past eight years gone?”
The GST Council, comprising the Centre and states, has decided to reduce tax rates on goods and services from September 22, which also marks the auspicious first day of Navratri.
