Refuting the allegation, police inspector says that his subordinate is abusive, ill-mannered and has even hit colleagues

Unable to endure alleged harassment from his senior, Thimme Gowda, a 42-year-old head constable attached to Gangammanagudi police station, attempted suicide by consuming pesticide in the station premises on Wednesday. He was immediately rushed to K C General Hospital by colleagues and is stated to be out of danger.

Gowda has alleged that inspector S B Chabbi's constant pestering is the reason he took the extreme step. Gowda said that he hadu00a0 recently undergone a knee operation and was unable to walk long distances. He had asked Chabbi to assign him a stationed beat, but the inspector allegedly used to make him walk for about 10 kms everyday. Besides, Gowda added that Chabbi used to give him memos over trivial things and treated him like a criminal. Gowda's sonu00a0 anjunath said that he'll soon report the matter to senior officials.
