Andhra Pradesh rain fury: 17 killed, over 100 missing

In Rajampeta constituency in Kadapa district, at least 12 people were killed in a flash flood in the Cheyyeru rivulet while 18  are still missing

After the heavy wreaked havoc in three Rayalaseema districts and one south coastal district in Andhra Pradesh , at least 17 have died and 100 have gone missing, reported NDTV. The Indian Air Force has joined the local authorities in relief and rescue operations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy over phone and enquired about the situation and promised all help to the state.
Swollen rivers and rivulets caused a huge deluge in the districts, cutting off roads at some places and throwing life out of gear.
