In a major relief to the state government, the Supreme Court yesterday gave its final nod to the best-five subjects formula for declaring results and admissions to first-year junior colleges for SSC students.

Speaking to MiD DAY, Ujjwaladevi Patil, chairperson of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) confirmed that the state counsel had won the argument in the apex court.
