Prime accused confesses to stealing explosives from Ernakulam depot
In a startling statement, T Nasser, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant and the main accused in the Bangalore serial blasts, has confessed that he procured the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) for the blasts by robbing an explosives depot belonging to the Indian Army at Ernakulam.
He is also said to have stated that he had conducted a survey along with Sarfaraz Nawaz, a former SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) secretary, to choose the targets. The Intelligence Bureau had arrested Nawaz in Muscat in March 2009.
