Thiruvananthapuram: Animal Welfare Board of India has asked state police to take action against 'Theruvu Naaya Unmoolana Sangam' (Stray Dog Eradication Group) and an industrialist who supported the move even as demand is growing for more severe steps to check street dog menace in Kerala.
AWBI in a complaint to Ernakulam district Superintendent of Police alleged that the group and industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly were involved in illegally catching stray dogs in one of the panchayats of the district and sought action against people connected with it.
