BJP states slowed vaccination to create record: report

Madhya Pradesh (MP) administered the maximum number of doses at 16.9 lakh on June 21, followed by Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Assam.

The central government on Tuesday said that a “historic milestone” was achieved on June 21 with the vaccination of 88.09 lakh people in a single day. 
However, reports have emerged that states governed by the BJP had massively slowed down their daily Covid-19 vaccination ahead of the launch of the revised guidelines, which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month.
