Washington: A video of British comic John Oliver taking a swipe at the American media for ignoring India's election, "the largest democratic exercise in the world and in history," has gone viral.

The premiere of Oliver's new HBO news satire show, "Last Week Tonight" Sunday featured a ten minute segment starting with a clip of debates on American news channels about the Indian elections.
