Car flips repeatedly before hitting divider, killing driver instantly

A speeding cab driver died on the spot last night while trying to avoid an oncoming lorry at VIT cross in Bagalur.

Shafiulla (40), was driving a sedan at high speed en route to the Bangalore International Airport at 11.30 pm to pick up passengers when he swerved to avoid an oncoming tipper truck.

The car spun out of control and flipped several times before coming to a standstill against a divider. Shafiulla sustained grievous head injuries and died instantly.

Roshan, a bystander said, "He lost control and the car tumbled many times before halting against the divider. The road was dark and it was difficult to see."

A senior cop from Chikajala traffic police station, said, "The truck driver drove away and since we do not have the registration number, it is going to be difficult to trace the vehicle, but we will begin investigations in the morning."
