Maldives has formally asked India to withdraw its military personnel by March 15. This comes nearly two months after the initial request for their removal and amid a row between the two nations. There are 88 Indian military personnel in the Maldives.

Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu asked India to withdraw its military personnel nearly two months after he sought their removal from his country, a senior official said in Male on Sunday.
