Domestic passenger car sales jumped by 40.27 per cent to 1,15,268 units in December last year. Total passenger car sales were 82,174 units in the same month 2008.

Motorcycle sales were up by 76.70 per cent at 5,92,596 units in last month compared to 3,35,370 units in the year-ago month, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said at the 10th Auto Expo here.
