Her daughter had then said that her mother had differences with their father Krishnamurthy and her son. She owned more than 60 commercial complexes and other properties. On August 9, the gang, which included Manjunath, Karthik, Ravi Kiran and Mallikarjun had planned to rob her. So they went to her house on the pretext of paying rent. Once they were inside, they threatened Laxamma, and asked her to part with her jewellery. When she resisted, they killed her, and made off with jewellery worth more than Rs 5 lakh. After the police failed to crack the case, it was handed over to the CCB. Manjunath leads two vicious gangs in the city.u00a0 The gang has also been involved in several robberies along the NICE road.
