CCTV in 5,000 Delhi buses in I phase, Rs 100 cr to be spent

New Delhi: In an effort to enhance security in city buses, particularly for women commuters, Aam Aadmi Party government has decided to install close circuit television (CCTV) cameras in 5,000 buses in the first phase, besides deploying trained marshals.

The government will make a provision of around Rs 100 crore in the upcoming Budget to execute the flagship project
for CCTV installation that will cover DTC and Orange-colour Cluster buses.
