To spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, the Narcotics Control Bureau in association with Chandigarh Police organised a walkathon at Sukhna Lake on Wednesday. Senior officials of the NCB and Chandigarh Police spoke on the issue emphasizing the need to get rid of the drug menace in the city.

Several residents, mostly clad in white, participated in the walkathon. Their T-shirts flashed the slogan `Drug-free India`. They also took a pledge against drug abuse.
