From the by lanes of the walled city to the swanky hotels and restaurants Chinese food exists everywhere. And talking of Chinese, Berco's needs no preamble when it comes to Delhiites, as the chain has been around for more than two decades now.
Of all the others, we found the Noida outlet quite spacious.u00a0 It is set in a garden where, particularly nice for parents with hyper-active kids. The restaurant is divided between a separate sitting for families and a bar.
There are also few sittings for the more private parties. The d ufffdcor is a simple wooden fare. The staff however is well trained to strike the right balance between helpful and over attentive.
Of quality and quantity
Wines from the bar menu was missing, but it stocks all regular malts like beer, rum, vodka, gin and some common cocktails. We started off with their famous fruit beer.
The food here is also standard Berco's fare but we took the help of the useful chef which guided us through his signature dishes. The veg peaking soup was a good experiment to start with as it had vegetables and noodles.
For starters, we opted for corn pepper salt (juicy corn kernels spiked with freshly crushed pepper), where the corns turned out to be really crispy. The chicken pepper salt was fun to dig in while the chilli prawns tossed with sesame paste, flavoured with sesame oil wasn't particularly inspiring.
We had a glance at the table mats which revealed a fun take on our zodiac signs, while we waited for the main course.

The regular stir fried greens were tossed with garlic, ginger and onions was a smart choice and the potato corn t-sing hoi style (diced potato and corn cooked in tangy sauce) is a must have for all vegetarians.

Team them with vegetable fried rice or the vegetable hakka noodles. The sliced fish was marinated perfectly with mustard and chilli.
Sugary splendour
The crowning glory of the meal though was the darshan (crispy noodles sweetened with honey and served with a vanilla ice cream scoop) and the sizzling hot walnut brownie topped with a blob of cool vanilla and drizzled with hot chocolate sauce and caramelised almonds.
Chef Karma is the head, who checks on the quality regularly, we hope that this means that the chain will maintain its standards. The generous portions and the great service make it a perfect restaurant for corporate lunches or family night outs.u00a0
