Patients hospitalised owing to Covid-19 faced an increased risk of death or organ-related disorders for up to two-and-a-half years after discharge, a study has found, reported PTI.

The previous studies have discovered that organ damage can persist in almost 60 per cent of patients with long Covid, which refers to symptoms, including fatigue, that linger despite recovering from acute infection.
