Union health ministry confirmed 13,091 new infections on Thursday; so far, 38 crore adult population has been fully vaccinated in India, as per govt’s data on vaccination

The number of daily Covid-19 cases rise for the second day, with the Union health ministry adding 13,091 new ones on Thursday. The ministry had confirmed 11,466 new infections on Wednesday, up from 10,126 on Tuesday. However, the active cases declined to 1,38,556, and the fresh fatalities were recorded at 340, according to the ministry's data updated at 8 am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday said cautioned people against letting the guard down before the pandemic is completely over. He requested the states to enhance the vaccination coverage and motivate over 12 crore beneficiaries who are due for their second dose to take it.
