Patiala: Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi, who had landed in trouble following allegations of running an illegal immigration scandal in 2003, on Thursday appeared before a court here in in connection with the human trafficking case.

The singer appeared before the Court of Judicial Magistrate Sukhwinder Singh, who fixed July 1 as the next date of hearing in the case.
