Timely intervention by the Gautam Buddh Nagar police in Uttar Pradesh prevented a possible suicide attempt by a man, who had posted a message on social media that he was about to hang himself to death, officials said on Sunday.

The youth, in his early 20s, is a resident of Chandrawal village under the Dankaur police station area. Around 2 pm on Saturday, he posted a message on his Instagram account today everything will end along with a picture of a noose, they said.
