US-based computer maker Dell entered into an agreement to acquire IT services firm Perot Systems for about $3.9 billion.

The terms of the agreement were approved yesterday by the boards of directors of both companies, a Dell statement said. The acquisition will create an entity with $8 billion in services revenue.
