Trinamool Congress (TMC) will no longer be part of the current United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre, party chief Mamata Banerjee announced here on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference after over two hours of deliberations with party colleagues, Banerjee, miffed at Centre over its “unilateral” and “anti-people” reforms, said that all TMC ministers in the Union Cabinet will submit their respective resignations to the Prime Minister on Friday.
Banerjee clarified that TMC, the erstwhile largest UPA ally, would not extend outside support to the government.
