Gang diverts driver's attention by dumping currency notes under the wheel of his car, steals laptop bag kept in backseatu00a0u00a0

Incidents of attention diversion followed by theft are on the rise in the city despite attempts by the police to curb the menace. The latest such incident came to the notice of the cops on Sunday when Jitendranath, the personal assistant to the State Human Rights Commission, lodged a complaint of theft with the Ashok Nagar police. Jitendranath lost his laptop bag to diversion theft on June 17.
