File pic In the circular sent to jurisdictional officers, he said that it has been observed police officers appearing in uniform or civil dress along with anti-social elements and rowdies to be photographed or filmed, which is then telecast or displayed publicly. Ramesh said, "This will not be permitted and will be dealt with seriously in future." This is the first circular that Ramesh has issued after he assumed charge as DG&amp;IGP, which came after home minister R Ashok assured support in the legislative council in this regard. Ramesh also made it mandatory for commissioners, IGPs and SP to visit their jurisdictional police stations on a regular basis to inspect criminal investigations.
