The Election Commission of India has decided to hold bye-elections in five assembly constituencies in Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab and West Bengal. The seats in these constituencies have fallen vacant due to the death or resignation of MLAs who were previously holding the offices.
As per the official release by the Election Commission of India (ECI), five different assembly constituencies have been directed to hold the bye-elections. ECI has also directed that elections in all the five constituencies should be concluded successfully before June 25, 2025.
