Tension prevailed in Shamanna Garden yesterday night after an armed gang attacked residents at 9 pm.

Residents allegea w that oman, named Meharunnissa was a ganja peddler in the area.u00a0 Residents claim that they were fed up with addicts milling about in the area, and complained to the police, but no action was taken.

They lost their patience after they caught addicts indulging in eve teasing.

They allege that Meharunnissa later called her gang members and assaulted them. Several residents have been injured. A complaint has been filed with the Byatarayanapura police station.
