Schools can increase fees every 2 yrs, but have to follow laid-down procedure
The Fee Regulation Bill that was passed yesterday in the monsoon session of the state legislature mentions that schools can increase fees after every two years. Sunil Magar, deputy director of education (Pune), said though the bill had been passed, his department was yet to see the acts mentioned in the bill.
"It's good that the bill has been passed. The issues that were being created between the parents, schools and students will no more be highlighted. This has come as a pleasant change and we hope that schools and parents will no more have personal issues," said Magar. "We haven't received a copy and will be able to say more on the details once the Governor signs it."u00a0
