At New Airport Road, four 22-metre-long trucks were travelling at a speed of 40 kmph.<br />u00a0<br />When MiD DAY investigated further, it was found that the trucks were carrying carriages and engines to Delhi for the Metro rail.<br /><br />  <table style="width: 231px; height: 42px" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="231" border="1">  <tbody>  <tr>  <td><img alt="" src="/imagedata/2010/jul/crain.jpg" border="0" /></td></tr>  <tr>  <td>  <p align="center"><span style="font-size: 8pt">Atop 22-metre-long trucks, hydraulic engines make their way to Delhi for metro work.</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table><br />While following the trucks, MiD DAY also noticed that two children were sitting on the truck outside and dozing off to sleep. <br /><br />Asking about the danger of the children sitting on the truck, Imran Khan, the supervisor, said, "We are driving slowly because of the engines on board. <br /><br />The boys are perfectly safe and are sitting there to balance the weight of the truck. Nothing will happen to them."<br /><br />Built at Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), the trucks carrying the metro engines and coaches will reach New Delhi in 20 days.</p>
