Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat has been given additional charge of Maharashtra, following the resignation of CP Radhakrishnan, who assumed office as the Vice-President of India.

Early Sunday morning, Governor Devvrat departed for Mumbai via Tejas Express to officially take over his new responsibilities and discharge the constitutional duties of the Maharashtra Raj Bhavan.
