Huge pet expo in Noida will showcase therapeutic virtues of animals
Not only can a pet be great company but it also helps you stay fit, say experts.
Hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, mental health institutions and schools adopt pets to help people fight stress. Pets are used in therapies to soothe the nerves of those who have been through a disaster or stress condition.
A huge pet show is being organised in Noida to educate animal lovers how they can keep their pets in good health and enjoy their benefits.
The Third India International Pet and Trade Fair (IIPTF), scheduled to be held on January 30 at the Noida Expo Centre, will have on display various domestic and foreign breeds of dogs, cats, fish, birds and horses.
"There will be seminars, workshops, lecture demonstrations on pet care, pet grooming and training byu00a0 well-known veterinary experts," said Binoy Sahee, IIPTF director.u00a0u00a0
The fair is also expected to provide impetus to the growing pet industry in India. "About 60 pet food, care and grooming product manufacturers from seven countries like the US, Germany, France, Italy and Poland will participate in the fair," Sahee added.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0
Ten dogs from SIS security agency and the Air Force Dog Training Centre, Faridabad, will also showcase their skills during the fair.
