Himachal Pradesh floods: Karnataka government to provide Rs five crore

Amid the devastating floods in Himachal Pradesh that claimed 370 lives and caused losses of over Rs 4,000 crore, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah pledged Rs 5 crore for relief and rehabilitation. Expressing solidarity, he assured CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu that Karnataka stands with the resilient people of Himachal in this hour of crisis.

Himachal Pradesh is one of the worst flood-hit states as far as the northern region of India is concerned. The state has experienced massive infrastructure loss along with human lives, which has surely made the condition a lot more devastating. In view of these extremely tough times, the Karnataka government has pledged to release Rs 5 crore for disaster relief and rehabilitation in flood-ravaged Himachal Pradesh.

In a letter to his Himachal Pradesh counterpart, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of Karnataka assured that the people of Karnataka stand in solidarity with the people of HP in this hour of distress.
