Preliminary investigations revealed that Anandu00a0 was smugglingu00a0 goods to avoid taxes and was planning to sell them in the grey market. While Anand was being brought to court, his advocate threatened the media of dire consequences if they photographed his client. No photos! "I will smash your heads and get you people killed through rowdies if anyone takes his pictures," the advocate roared even as customs officials looked on in shock. When lensmen ignored his threat andu00a0 clicked Anand's pictures, the enraged advocate started noting down the vehicle number, saying:u00a0 "Now, you just wait and watch. I will make your life miserable." Ulsoorgate police, under whose jurisdiction the court falls, have promised to take action against the Chennai-based advocate if anyone filed a complaint. Anand, meanwhile, was remanded to judicial custody.
