On Saturday, India accused Pakistan of violating the agreement reached earlier in the day between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two countries, which was intended to halt all firing and military action. India’s armed forces are retaliating and addressing border intrusions in accordance with the violations.

In a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that Pakistan’s actions amounted to a "breach" of the understanding reached earlier that day. He stressed that India takes "very serious note of these violations."
