India reported 203 fresh Covid cases in last 24 hours, while the active caseload was recorded at 2,034, the Union Health Ministry updated on Monday. While, the country also recorded two deaths, one each in Kerala and Maharashtra in last 24 hours, according to the data updated at 8 am.

The number of daily cases began to rise in the country after the emergence of a new Covid 19 variant- JN 1 and cold weather conditions spiked the patients further.
