The Jammu & Kashmir administration on Thursday ordered a magisterial probe into the Hyderpora encounter in a house here, in which police claimed to have killed two militants and two associates.
“A magisterial inquiry by officer of ADM rank has been ordered in Hyderpora encounter. The government will take suitable action as soon as report is submitted in a time-bound manner. J&K admin reiterates commitment of protecting lives of innocent civilians & it will ensure there is no injustice,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said in a tweet. Later, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said the “police is open to correction if anything has gone wrong”.
