Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday defended the state government's decision to withdraw several criminal cases, including those registered against his supporters for stone-pelting following his arrest by Enforcement Directorate in 2019.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday defended the state government's decision to withdraw several criminal cases, including those registered against his supporters for stone-pelting following his arrest by Enforcement Directorate in 2019.
He said the government has withdrawn cases involving members of the BJP, Congress, activists and various organisations.
The Cabinet, on Thursday, approved the withdrawal of 60 cases registered at various police stations in the state.
