A little over three years ago, MiD DAY had revealed that veteran actor Dev Anand’s bungalow at Pali Hill would be turned into a high rise (‘Dev Anand’s studio to make way for tower’, May 14, 2009). If you now visit the site that was once ‘Anand’ — the actor’s recording studio — you will be greeted by heaps of debris and the structure of a skyscraper sprouting out of them. And sources have told MiD DAY that potential buyers are already making overtures. Among those interested in acquiring a flat in the high rise is reportedly Bollywood heartthrob Katrina Kaif.
