The phone number used by sex racketeer Swami Bhimanand has been traced to a Kolkata escort agency

For a godman, Swami Bhimanand is very well connected. But then, he is anu00a0 'Ichadhari'. Or, so his devotees thought till now.
The man who donned the disguise of a guru for his expansive sex racket was using at least 12 different mobile phone numbers to manage his business.



The Swami, real name Rajeev Ranjan Dwivedi, had numbers that have been traced to escort agencies in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. One of the numbers 9810255799 was of a Kolkata-based escort agency whereas 9810766655 belonged to a Hyderabad-based escort service.

The other numbers that were in operation were 9810259183, 9810252779, 9810255038, 9810254280, 9810258453, 9810251260, 9810255014, 9810256903, 9810251194, 9810252386.
The racket was unearthed on Thursday following inputs provided by Sonu Punjaban, arguably the national capital's biggest pimp, and Kanwaljeet. Both were business partners of Dwivedi.

However, Punjaban rejected her involvement as "conspiracy theory". She told MiD DAY that since her name was there in Swami's diary, rumours that she got him arrested were gaining currency. "It was just a matter of

The Sai Baba Temple that Rajiv Ranjan Dwivedi built in Jawahar Park at Khanpur in south Delhi had over a lakh devotees attached to it. Dwivedi was first released from jail in 1998 after being held for running a prostitution racket. Before getting into the flesh trade again, he first built a temple in 2000 with the help of a string of followers. He also bought property at three other addresses - a three-storeyed building in Khanpur, one in Mohammadpur and another in Humayunpur. Dwiwedi allegedly had 50 to 60 girls working directly under him and had access to nearly 500 others through his contacts.
