A C-60 commando of the Gadchiroli Police in Maharashtra died on Friday after sustaining gunshot injuries during an ongoing anti-Maoist operation in the Abujhmaad forest region.
The injured personnel, identified as 38-year-old Deepak Chinna Madavi, was a resident of Aheri and a native of Mandra village in Damrancha under Aheri taluka. He was airlifted from the deep forest area early in the morning and taken to the sub-district hospital in Bhamragad, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
