An autorickshaw driver was arrested for raping and murdering a 45-year-old tribal woman under Warad bridge recently.

As per Khalapur sub-divisional police officer, Sanjay Shukla, the accused and the woman knew each other. She and her husband worked as labourers at Warad village in Khalapur Taluka. On Thursday, around 1.30 pm, the woman hired the accused’s autorickshaw to travel to Vavoshi to attend her niece’s wedding, stated a report in The Times of India.
