“Wardha, a district sanctified by the residence of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave, should not lag in development,” said Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Ajit Pawar. He was addressing officials at the district collectorate on Thursday. In his address, the deputy CM urged all the departments to work together on people-centric projects, assuring that the state government will provide all necessary support for development initiatives.
Pawar reviewed various ongoing and planned development works in the district. The meeting was attended by legislators Sanjay Khodke, Sameer Kunawar, and Rajesh Bakane, District Collector Vanmathi C, Chief Executive Officer Parag Soman, Superintendent of Police Anurag Jain, Deputy Conservator of Forests Harveer Singh, Additional District Collector Narendra Phulzhele, Additional CEO Suraj Gohad, and District Planning Officer Aniruddha Rajurwar, along with other departmental officials.
He emphasised prioritising innovative projects and instructed officials to avoid procurement-related works under these schemes. Pawar assured that funds would be promptly made available from the district annual plan as needed and called for quality execution of projects under the Sevagram development plan, including submission of proposals for additional works suggested by local representatives, revised administrative approvals, and installation of CCTV systems in Sevagram.
