As Mumbai, Palghar, and Thane reel under hot weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for several districts of Maharashtra.

The IMD issued a yellow alert for districts including Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. These areas are likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, along with light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph at isolated places.
