Arrested when he tries to pass the murder off as an accident
Ramakrishna (44), a realtor and the state general secretary of the BJP's labour wing, has been arrested on charges of bludgeoning his wife to death and later covering it up to make it look like an accident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Ramakrishna killed his wife, Pramila, over a property dispute. The accused was allegedly forcing his wife to part with a share of her ancestral property. He had even forced Pramila to file a civil suit against her brothers.
Pramila, a BE graduate and a contractual employee with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, had recently defied her husband's wishes by withdrawing the case against her family members, stating that she did not need a share in
the property.
