Ahmedabad: A metropolitan court in Ahmedabad barred a man from entering his house after he allegedly tried to oust his wife after threatening her. The court order came under section 19 (1) of the Domestic Violence Act after the woman’s complained against the man that he repeatedly tried to throw her and her children out of the house, Times of India reported.
The man Anil Patani from Amraiwadi married his wife in 1994 and lived happily for the next 15 years. The relationship turned sour in 2012, but they still continued to live in the same house. The wife alleged the man was involved in an extra-marital affair that turned their relationship acrimonious and he threatened to throw her and the three children out of the house. As the man owns properties and has an income from agriculture, the woman demanded the court to direct him to give her maintenance.
