Security forces in Manipur carried out a series of coordinated operations across several districts, targeting illegal poppy cultivation, militant activity and drug trafficking. The actions led to the destruction of large poppy fields, burning of huts, arrests of militants and smugglers, and seizure of narcotics and weapons.

A combined team of security forces, the forest department and an Executive Magistrate destroyed three acres of illegal poppy plantation at Lakhamai Hills under Phaibung Police Station in Senapati district on Friday, reported ANI.
