A mild earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter scale shook several parts of Bihar on Monday morning, with its epicentre recorded in Siwan district, according to PTI reports. The tremors, which occurred at 8:02 am IST, sent panic across the region as residents rushed out of their homes and buildings as a precautionary measure.
As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km beneath Siwan, with vibrations being felt in multiple surrounding districts. The Bihar Disaster Management Department (DMD) confirmed that while the tremors were noticeable, there were no immediate reports of damage to property or loss of life.
