A Member of Parliament from Nalanda district in Bihar, Kaushalendra Kumar, was pick-pocketed near Pul Bangash Railway station last morning. He was returning from Ajmer in Ahmedabad Express, along with two colleagues.
The Lok Sabha MP was travelling in AC coach of the train, when somebody picked the wallet from his pocket, containing Rs 5,000 and some cards.

According to police, Kumar was standing near the door of the train when it was moving at a slow pace near Pul Bangash. "A boy tried to get into the moving train from the door where Kumar was standing. Kumar, however, resisted his attempt," said a police officer.

The accused then caught hold of the wallet of the victim and jumped off the train. The pocket was ripped off but nobody was injured in the incident. A case of theft has been registered at Sarai Rohilla police station.

"Kumar's bodyguard was not with him at the moment. We would nab the accused soon," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) BS Gurjar. The MP, in his statement, has said the accused was apparently a minor.
