Mother-daughter duo arrested for murder in Bengaluru

A 37yearold real estate agents wife and motherinlaw were arrested days after he was found murdered near an underconstruction building in BGS Layout an official stated on TuesdayYashasvini 19 and her mother Hema Bhai 37 were arrested on Monday for the murder of her husband Lokanath Singh which took place in Soladevanahalli on March 22 an official said reported PTIYashasvini married Singh a few months ago against her parents wishes However after discovering his extramarital affair frequent conflicts arose between them leading her to eventually move back to her parents homeSingh allegedly pressured Yashasvini to return home and harassed her parents over the issue He even threatened her stating that if she refused to come back he would take her mother instead police officials said as reported by PTIAccording to preliminary investigations Yashasvini laced Singhrsquos food with sleeping pills to make him drowsy As he began losing consciousness her mother allegedly stabbed him two to three times on the left side of his neck with a knifeThe crime came to light when a passerby discovered Singhrsquos body near an underconstruction building in BGS Layout Bilijaji village and alerted the policePolice further revealed that Yashasvini no longer wanted to continue her marriage and intended to divorce SinghOn March 22 she contacted him and arranged to meet near Bagalur After a conversation they drove to Soladevanahalli with Singh bringing along some beer bottles As part of their plan her mother followed them in an autorickshaw police added reported PTISince Singh had multiple cheating cases against him police initially suspected business rivalry as a motive for his murderA case of murder was registered and we arrested Singhs wife and motherinlaw in connection with the incident the officer stated reported PTIBangalore suicide case Police reveal the exact reason behind the tragic incidentA 34yearold deputy general manager of a private company Atul Subhash tragically died by suicide on December 9thAtul who was originally from Uttar Pradesh had been living in Bengaluru Before his death he left behind a 24page suicide note in which he accused his wife her family and a judge of causing him distressIn the note Atul claimed that they were responsible for explicit instigation for suicide harassment extortion and corruption Atuls death has left his family in deep grief with his relatives calling for justiceDinesh Mishra the lawyer representing Atul expressed regret over the tragic incident and said that Atul should have reached out to them about his problemsMeanwhile the Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP Dr Shivakumar Gunare revealed the exact cause of the incident and confirmed that an FIR has been registered in the case following a complaint filed by Atuls brother The Bengaluru suicide case has shoot the entire nationThe investigation will also look into several cases filed against the accused in Uttar Pradesh with a team set to travel there for further inquiriesWith inputs from PTI
